Pure peer-to-peer processing
GPS Dancer has no data centres, no analysis centres, no combination centres, not even a central server. Just peers working together.

GPSdancer and internet security
Peer-to-peer processing on the internet requires substantial security measures. Read how GPSdancer protects itself against hackers.

A reference frame in the cloud
Cloud computing forms a natural match for GPS geodesy
GPS Dancer is a voluntary project of the International Association of Geodesy. It developes a distributed analysis system for precise GPS analysis in the cloud. The GPSdncer software is ready for on-line deployment, and some test peers have been running permanently on a server in Germany since late 2012.
By early 2015 funding was secured for the deployment, validation and early operations of a Geodetic Cloud Computing Service, which will offer on-demand GPSdancer instances in the cloud to any permanent geodetic reference station in the world. Start of on-line operations of this service is currently foreseen for the second quarter of 2016.
This website forms the home of the GPS Dancer project, and also acts as on-line documentation for the GPS Dancer system. A separate web-portal will come on-line for the Geodetic Cloud Computing Service, at the start of its operations.
Please browse around the menus and links to learn what GPSdancer does, how it works, and how you may soon be able to achieve IGS-level of positioning accuracies for your own geodetic reference stations.
